2024 Spring Little League Baseball

Hello Parent or Guardian,

Thank you for registering your child with Norwalk Little League. For nearly 70 years, Norwalk Little League has provided our service to the community. Your Board of Directors, Coaches, and Team Parents, will do their best to make sure Spring 2024 is the best season we have ever had.

For the upcoming Spring season, we are going to offer the following Divisions:

Juniors - MLB Field Dimensions
Majors - Culminates to the Little League World Series in Williamsport, PA
Minor A - Player pitch division to help the players prepare for Majors
Minor B - Initial player pitch division so players can get accustomed to live pitching and more in game movement as they prepare for Minor A
Minor C - Coach pitch division so players may get accustomed to the larger fields and prepare for Minor B
Tee Ball - Introduction to players to learn how to play and love the game of baseball.
New Challenger Division - We are excited to announce this new offering from the League where individuals with physical and intellectual challenges can participate in Little League

For Spring, all players League Age 7 (age 7 or Older on/before August 31, 2024) and older, are required to “tryout” for the League. The purpose of the tryout is to give coaches the opportunity to evaluate the player’s skill set so they are placed in the Division where they can see the most success and continue improve their skills.

Tryouts for Spring 2024 will be held on Saturday, January 27th, and a make up day on Saturday, February 3rd at Corvallis Middle School 11032 Leffingwell Rd, Norwalk. It is important that we have as many players make the January 27th tryout date, so we can start building teams and order jerseys well before the season begins.

There are a lot of great events and activities coming this season including:

Opening Day - Festive event for all players and teams to kick off our season. There will be games and fun events for all. Tentatively scheduled for March 2nd.
Little League Day at Angels Stadium - By being part of our League, your child will get an amazing experience by walking on the Angel Stadium Field. This date is tentatively set for Sunday, April 7th,
Closing Ceremonies - A community event to close out the Spring Season, handout awards, and announce All-Stars. Tentatively scheduled for Sunday, May 19th.
All-Stars - We send our best players to compete against the teams in our District for a chance to go to regionals, state, and for our Majors All-Stars, Williamsport! All-Stars begins on June 22nd.

As you can see, we have a lot planned for this Spring Season, and it is wonderful that you and your family will be a part of it.

For our Non-Volunteer Deposit/Fee, you can recoup the deposit/fee when you give 2 hours of time (per Player enrolled) to the league. The majority of parents do this by working a snack bar shift, helping at one of our events, the fireworks stand, Coaching, etc. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us on other opportunities to get your $60 returned.

In our short time together, we hope you will see improvement in your child’s skills, communication, and confidence.
